I wasn’t surprised that an event like the Northeast Organic Farmers Association would attract folks who are conscious of what’s on their dinner plate, mindful of how and what things are made from, aware of their daily impact on their neighbor and community, and talk about cow poop over lunch. In general, they are alert, clever, empowered individuals.

And yet I was surprised that so many coffee-loving people showed up at our booth with their own coffee mug in hand, opting not to use the paper cups we provided. It was a pleasure to see such an array of drinking vessels and I wanted to share some of these mug shots with you.
