A new cafe, Vermont Coffee Company at Mount Snow, opened on December 18th, 2010 and marks a milestone for Vermont Coffee Company, as this relationship with Mount Snow is their first with a major ski area.

“Mount Snow is one of Vermont’s biggest ski areas,” said Vermont Coffee Company president Paul Ralston, “and we’re delighted they came to us to provide them with our unique line of big, bold coffees. It’s a great match.”

Jason Palmer, Director of Food and Beverage at Mount Snow said, “I am really excited to be working with a fair trade, organic coffee roaster that places such a high value on both quality and ethics. We can’t wait to get the shop open for business!”

As part of the cafe’s launch, free ski passes will be made available to Vermont Coffee Company FRIENDS throughout the ski season.

“With the new cafe at Mount Snow,” said Ralston, “we’re joining two strong organizations with a shared business philosophy: we both bring friends together to enjoy life, whether it’s on the ski slopes or over a cup of good coffee.”

Mount Snow, located in West Dover, is one of Vermont’s earliest ski areas and just celebrated its 56th birthday. The area, purchased by Mountain Resorts in 2007, was recently named the “#1 Terrain Park in the East” by Skiing Magazine. The resort has four mountain areas with 135 trails covering 633 acres serviced by 20 lifts.
